Fits: 1.6T turbo vehicles before 2021 — the Veloster Turbo (VT1 and VT2), the 1.6T Elantra GT (GT Sport) and Kona 1.6T. It does not fit the Kia Forte GT.
What this is
A resonator delete for the 1.6T hot pipe — the charge pipe that feeds the intercooler. It replaces the factory resonator section, the part with the internal braided-mesh resonator band, with a smooth metal pipe. We make it in Canada; N75 Motorsports is dedicated to Canadian development and manufacturing.
A resonator delete is a popular mod among Hyundai and Kia owners. We make no power claims for this part.
The triple-rolled bead
We roll the bead three times to form a large retaining lip at the end of the pipe. The large lip lets you reuse the OEM hose clamps and resists the delete popping off under boost, which is why T-clamps are not required.
What owners report
Owners report good build quality, a change in sound, and quick, well-packed delivery. One owner with a 2018 Elantra Sport reports the car sounds the way they wanted after adding this delete alongside a muffler delete and a downpipe.
Features
- Made in Canada by N75 Motorsports
- Metal delete pipe that replaces the factory resonator section in the hot pipe
- Triple-rolled bead forming a large retaining lip
- Designed to reuse the OEM hose clamps
- T-clamps optional for the most secure hold
Installation
Remove the factory resonator section from the hot pipe and fit the delete pipe in its place, then clamp each end. Reuse the OEM clamps, or fit new hose clamps, since the OEM clamps are not always reusable. T-clamps give the most secure hold if you want extra certainty; they are available locally almost anywhere. A little hairspray on the pipe before fitting helps the rubber hose grip the metal. The delete pipe is supplied on its own, without clamps.
FAQ
Does it come with clamps?
No — the delete pipe only. Reuse your OEM clamps or fit new hose clamps; T-clamps are optional.
Will it blow off under boost?
The triple-rolled bead forms a large lip, so the OEM clamps hold the delete in place. T-clamps give the most secure hold if you want extra certainty.
Does it add power?
We make no power claims for the resonator delete.
