What this is

An Xforce Varex 3-inch cat-back exhaust system, part number ESHY33VKCS. A cat-back replaces the exhaust from behind the catalytic converter to the tips; the factory cat stays in place.

Varex is Xforce's valved muffler. A valve inside the muffler is opened or closed at the touch of a button: open, the exhaust is louder; closed, it is quiet for daily driving. Xforce also sells its Smartbox Bluetooth controller separately, which adds smartphone control, preset valve positions and geo-fencing.

Xforce Varex cat-back for the Elantra N Line laid out: front pipe and resonator with flange, mid pipe, transverse Varex muffler and twin tips

Features

  • 3-inch cat-back system in mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel
  • Bolt-in front resonator
  • Single east/west (transverse) Varex muffler with a 3-inch inlet and dual 2.5-inch outlets
  • Dual 2.5-inch tailpipes exiting on the right-hand (passenger) side with 4-inch polished tips
Xforce Varex muffler with its valve actuator and twin polished tips exiting to one side

The sound is great

Yes the catback is a bit expensive but you gotta pay for that sweet varex valve. The pops on upshift are amazing and if you want to be quiet, close the valve. It makes not drone at all in the car even with the second cat delete. I had a muffler delete before and the drone was crazy at highway speed. If you want a good sounding exhaust for the n line, it's the way to go
