Tuning is not required for this intercooler. We do not suggest using this intercooler on a stock ECU tune due to little to no benefit. On Stage 2+ ECU tuning is where this product will be maximized the most. We suggest getting ECU tuning before this product on the simple basis that we just don't see the need for this on OEM Tuning. (HOWEVER TUNING IS NOT REQUIRED)

2 step core allows for the most volume, Tube and Fin Core design ensure airflow to the radiator is present, ensuring little to no heatsoak on hot track days. Features welded air guide for intercooler to help aid air into the cooler area.
10mm increased inlet and outlet. (Increasing end tank inlet and outlet can only be a small amount given their are no hot pipe upgrades for the Elantra N, to avoid a massive pressure drop, we elected for only 10mm bigger inlet and outlet. Paired with a Forge Motorsport coldpipe, this kit Will work great with higher boost setups)
Flow designed end tanks for optimum flow at 21psi and higher.
45 degree off the intercooler allows for a coupler that has a far less aggressive bend then other FMIC's that have straight outlets, this helps increase flow through the core.
Tube and Fin design cores are great for motorsport use, as thick as this cooler is, it does not obstruct airflow to the radiator, one of the biggest advantages of this style of core. Generally, Tube and Fin cores are also lighter for the same volume.
If your in a hot climate these larger coolers allow much faster temp reduction when throttle is applied due to large size.
