I recently installed the Takeda intake, and the difference was noticeable almost immediately.
The first thing I picked up on was the sound. Under acceleration, the turbo is much more pronounced, with a clean, satisfying “whoosh” that adds a lot more character without feeling obnoxious. It gives the car a more engaging feel, especially when getting into boost.
Performance-wise, the low-to-mid range feels more responsive. Throttle input feels sharper, and the power delivery comes on more immediately compared to the stock setup. After the vehicle completed its octane learn, the improvement became even more noticeable. I’m seeing more wheel spin going into second gear, and third gear pulls harder with increased torque steer under full throttle, which really shows that the car is making stronger usable torque.
Overall, the Takeda intake is a great upgrade if you’re looking for better turbo sound, improved responsiveness, and a more aggressive driving feel. It adds excitement without taking away from drivability, and the gains in the low-to-mid range make it a worthwhile modification.
