Fits: Hyundai N vehicles, as titled. Hyundai N Performance Parts lists this guide for the Elantra N, designed to cool the N Performance brake system (4-piston) that Hyundai sells for that car.
What this is
A left and right pair of front brake air guides from Hyundai N Performance Parts, sold as one set. Each guide bolts in under the front suspension and channels outside air to the front brake disc. Hyundai uses it as an R-tune part in the N2 class of the Hyundai N Festival race series, where it lowers disc temperature on track.
Details
- Contents: brake air guide, left and right, one set
- Finish: black, with the N Performance logo moulded into each guide
- Airflow: Hyundai states the guide brings in at least 30 percent more outside air than the standard air guide, which lowers disc temperature
- Mounting: two bolt holes per guide
- Made in Korea
Installation
Hyundai recommends fitting by a professional shop. On a Veloster N it fits with a small modification: one owner reports that only one of the two holes lined up, so the other side was secured with a zip-tie and a washer, and that the guides are slightly thicker than the factory pieces, so a longer bolt may be needed.
FAQ
Does it fit my Veloster N or Kona N?
It is designed for the Elantra N and can be used on the Veloster N with the modification above. We have not confirmed Kona N fitment.
Do I need the N Performance brake system?
Hyundai designed the guide for that 4-piston system. If your car has the factory brakes, email info@n75motorsports.ca before ordering.
Is it for track use?
Yes. Hyundai designed it to lower disc temperature on track, where brake temperatures climb. Owners report no brake overheating after fitting it.
