What this is
Titanium downpipe hardware for 1.6T Hyundai and Kia turbo cars: titanium studs, 12-point titanium nuts and titanium washers that replace the OEM exhaust hardware at the downpipe-to-turbo flange. Fit this set when you install an aftermarket downpipe, such as our 1.6T high-flow downpipe, so the exhaust goes back together on fresh fasteners instead of the originals.
Why upgrade the hardware
OEM downpipe-flange studs and nuts are prone to seizing and snapping when they come off, so swapping in a fresh set of titanium studs, 12-point nuts and washers is cheap insurance against a seized or sheared fastener partway through the job. Each stud is double-ended with M8 x 1.25 mm thread at both ends and measures 55 mm overall.

Installation
Thread each stud into the downpipe-to-turbo flange, then fit a washer and a 12-point nut on top. The end of the stud has a hex (Allen) broach, so you can drive it into the flange with an Allen key and then tighten the 12-point nut down against the washer.
