You asked we answered! A turbo blanket which is not only effective, but also does not require the turbo to be removed to install the product! Install is tight and tricky, however it does not require the remove of any oil lines or the turbo itself.
This design has been created to work in the harshest of environments and proven to withstand temperatures up to 2500 °F or 1370°C of radiant heat which will assist in protecting and prolonging the life of engine components. Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path which helps reduce turbo lag and air intake temperatures resulting in more power.
.
Expect a burning smell and small amount of smoke after install (we suggest a light drive for less than a mile to warm up the turbo then stop open hood and idle for 5 minutes, to avoid smells in the cabin), this is totally normal and comes from your hands when installing, the turbo runs more than hot enough to vaporize that oil and dirt from your hands on installation.

Looking to reduce engine bay heat? The turbocharger on any turbocharged car is the primary source of heat in the engine bay, by covering the turbine in a heat blanket your vehicle receives two benefits; first lower temps under the hood, secondly keeping heat within the turbine is well known in racing to help keep the turbo spinning during gear shifts, heat is energy in a different form, by contain the "energy" within the turbine, it will spin up faster than it would without one.
