Do not confuse LR3 coils with other vendor's performance coils, LR3 coilpack had 3 revisions to ensure performance and reliability. When manufacturers sent use samples we said no, this is an issue that needs to be addressed, this took 3 attempts to get the result we wanted. Obviously we our bias towards our products, but after seeing other vendor's coils, we can safely say LR3 Coils are unmatched in the KDM community. LR3 Coils are the only product we are truly proud to bring to market, knowing there isn't anything similar to LR3, back then and now.

During development we discovered that the OEM and MSD coil packs have a significant gap between the spring of the coil and tip of the plug, we found MSD to be even shorter than OEM. Now why is this important? We are more than confident that MSD coils had to arch from the spring to the plug to fire the plug, What you need to understand about direct fire coil packs is that the spring is essentially a spark plug wire in a traditional ignition system.  The coil which fires the spark sits on top of the valve cover, then an approx 6" boot goes down from the top of the head to the plug tip, inside a spring carrying electric load from the coil pack. If there is added resistance in that area the coil is weaker no matter what type of coil is used.
Simply put, LR3 coils address this issue, you will visually see the spring flush with the boot, ensuring not only full contact with plug tip, but applying a small amount of pressure ensuring full contact and reducing resistance.
The coilpack itself is a low resistance coilpack. This also aids in spark energy.
LR3 High Performance Ignition Coil packs also require less voltage to fire the plug. LR3 Coils produce a more efficient combustion over OEM and MSD coils.
Users have reported; better idle, better fuel efficiency, better start up and cold start, one owner claims it increased his torque in lower RPM, while these are all user claims, N75 Motorsports does not claim anything more than, less resistance and lower voltage required to fire the plug, and more efficient combustion.

Tested and developed on 3 different vehicles exclusively by N75 Motorsports
As you can expect from N75 Motorsports, an unmatched 3 year warranty. You will struggle to find over 1 year warranty on a part considered to be wear and tear. Make no mistake, we made the best coil packs we could. With 3 revisions to ensure performance hence the name "LR3", however coil packs are still a wear and tear item no different from spark plugs other than perhaps a slightly longer service intervals, however we still back up our product with 3 year worry free warranty from N75 Motorsports, the best warranty in aftermarket performance parts!

Installation Directions

Line up the spring with the tip of the plug, you will feel a small "bounce" like effect, once lined up push straight down on the coil top and tighten the 10mm bolt with your other hand., improper Installation can lead to spring collapsing. Basically, you want to push the coilpack down at perfect 180 degree angle to the valve cover, then the spring compress properly. We suggest using your dominate hand to push down on the coil, while your other hand tightens the bolt, ensuring not to move the coil side to side while holding down.

(Not covered under warranty, however if this happens to you email sales@n75motorsports.ca)

Boot of the coil seals on the top of the valve cover and does not wrap around the valve cover, however this seal is watertight.

While Installation can be a pain, but it is well worth it!

Note July 13th 2024; We have made the spring 3mm shorter to aid installation. More importantly, proving our dedication to perfection!

Worth it!

These coil packs really made my RPM range very smooth. The stock ones would over 20 psi would I feel like the car was misfiring after 4000rpms. And smooth out the idle very nicely!.🤗😎

Amezing products!

This is my first and not the last buying from n75. They do amezing quality products. It's my very first time tuning my car and I'm pretty excited to try with the rest of the product. As you can see in the picture, all it's in good shape, well packed and looks sick! The delivery was in time so that's a good point too. The best place to treat well your Veloster N 😎.

Just one issue for me, it's UPS 😭😭😭. I wish you guys could use DHL. But I understand the reason why you might use UPS for international shipping.

Greetings from Chile.

It's actually better than OEM

Swapped out my OEM coils for these. I've been on the fence about coil packs since they don't have any user comparable specs. But n75 managed to sell me on these LR3's because the science simply makes sense. Although I could have tried to confirm the claims of even the OEM coils not making physical contact before going for these but what the heck. I've already put them in and things have definitely changed.

Though I've only really noticed two things.
First, my cold starts are not as loud as they were with the OEM coils. My guess is that if ignition really did improve then the fuel is burning much faster and more intensely before the exhaust valve opens. The resulting less fuel still being burnt while the exhaust valve opens means less fuel forcibly expanding it's way down the exhaust pipes causing less noise. That theoretically means it's a more efficient usage of energy for more power and fuel efficiency. Again, guessing. I have no baseline numbers with my OEM coils to compare.

Second, my automatic gear shifts are much smoother. I do have a JB4 installed on Map 1. The JB4 alone made my gear shifts feel a bit worse than without it and reduced how much DCT fartting I got when launching.
After getting the LR3's in my gear shifts are somehow just as nice as without the JB4, but it's also reduced the DCT farts down to almost nothing which I'm a little sad about.
But that makes me feel better about the product actually being a real performance part that doesn't just call itself a performance part but turns out to be a reskinned OEM part in the best case scenario just like HKS spark plugs being NGK spark plugs. (like if ya'll never went to HKS's website. They literally tell you they remove the NGK engravings)

This definitely it’s a 10💪🏻

I went from MSD and I have to say, the difference is noticeable specifically with the stage 2
