King Racing pMaxBlack Rod Bearing Set, 0.25 mm undersize — eight tri-metal big-end shells for the 2.0 litre Theta II turbo bottom end, four pairs, one pair per connecting rod, sized for a crankshaft reground 0.25 mm (0.010 in) below standard.

Read this first: this set is for a reground crankshaft only. On a crank still at factory journal size it will clamp the crank and destroy the engine. Measure your rod journals, or ask your machine shop exactly what they cut, before you order. If your crank is standard, buy our standard-size King set instead.

The pMaxBlack overlay is King's top tier, a hardened race coating built for sustained high load on a steel crankshaft. King positions this bearing for circle track, drag racing, offshore and similar duty — it is a race bearing, not an OE replacement. If you want a straight factory-replacement bearing for a stock rebuild, ask us instead.

Fitment: Hyundai i30 N 2018 on, Veloster N 2019-2022, Elantra N 2022-2026 and Kona N 2022-2023 — 2.0L Theta II turbo (G4KH). Journal and housing dimensions match King's published figures for this bearing exactly.

Measure before the crank goes in the grinder. The sensible order of work is to measure the assembled bearing bores first and then finish the journals to match, with the oil clearance you want — not to grind to a nominal figure and hope. Undersize availability also varies by size, so confirm the cut with us before machining.

Details: 8 shells, 4 pairs, positions 1 to 4; tri-metal copper-lead construction with the pMaxBlack overlay; 0.25 mm (0.010 in) undersize; rod big-end housing bore 51.00-51.02 mm; shell width 17.0 mm; locating lug fitted. Standard crank rod journal is 47.95-47.97 mm, so a journal cut for this set finishes near 47.70-47.72 mm — confirm against your own measurements, not against this line.

A note on the box. The carton and the shipping label are printed with the engine family code rather than the car name. That is how King packages this bearing and it is the correct set for your car — do not be put off when it arrives.

Rod bearings only. No main bearings in this set.

Availability: ON ORDER at our distributor as of 6 November 2026.

Not sure this suits your car? Ask us before ordering — we would rather check the fitment than process a return.
