Mahle Motorsport PowerPak forged pistons, a set of four at 86.00 mm — the factory bore size, so these suit a standard or freshly honed block with no overbore needed. Forged 2618 aluminium with an 11.4 cc dish in the crown, which lowers compression against the factory piston and gives a turbo build detonation headroom.

Fitment: Hyundai i30 N 2018 on, Veloster N 2019-2022, Elantra N 2022-2026 and Kona N 2022-2023 — 2.0L Theta II turbo (G4KH). Mahle's own spec sheet cuts this piston for an 86.00 mm bore, a 30 mm compression height, a 22 mm pin and a 146 mm rod, which are the factory figures for these engines. We sell it for these cars on that basis and on our own engine-building experience with them.

About compression ratio. We deliberately do not print one here. The dish volume is a property of the piston and is given below, but the ratio your engine finishes at depends on your cylinder head and head gasket. Tell us your build and we will work it out with you rather than quote you a number off a box.

The kit is complete. Rings, wrist pins and round wire locks are all included — you do not need to buy a ring set separately.

From Mahle: forged 2618 alloy, with a phosphate treatment in the ring grooves and pin bores and a Grafal anti-friction coating on the skirt to reduce friction and scuffing on start-up.

Details: set of 4 pistons; bore 86.00 mm, standard; compression height 30 mm; wrist pin 22 mm; crown volume minus 11.4 cc (dish); weight 300 g per piston; ring pack 1.2 mm, 1.2 mm and 2.8 mm, included; high-strength steel pins and round wire locks, included; cut for a 146 mm rod and an 86.0 mm stroke.

Have the piston-to-valve clearance checked at assembly. Mahle does not publish valve pocket geometry for this piston, and these engines are tight. Clay-check it on the bench.

Availability: ON ORDER at our distributor as of 5 November 2026. Ask us for a lead time before you plan a build around it.

Not sure this suits your car? Ask us before ordering — we would rather check the fitment than process a return.
