Forge's UK-designed and UK-manufactured replacement for the factory valve on the 1.6-litre turbo Hyundai Elantra N Line and i20 N, superseding OEM part 28234-2S300. It runs an aluminium piston on heat-stabilised Viton O-rings with high-temperature Mobil1 grease, and the whole assembly comes apart for service in minutes. You decide how it works: leave the outlet open and it vents to atmosphere, or plumb it back into the intake and it acts as a recirculating valve.

The notable detail is where the boost signal enters. Forge feeds pressure into the side of the valve rather than behind the piston, which it says stops the valve lifting under either high or low boost and removes the usual need to swap in a stiffer spring when the car is tuned. Forge states the valve produces no check engine lights, and recommends a service every 3 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. The kit includes the hoses, clamp, bolts and fittings needed for either setup.

Features

  • Aluminium piston valve replacing OEM part no. 28234-2S300
  • Runs as a fully atmospheric (blow-off) valve or a fully recirculating valve - your choice
  • Boost-to-side-entry design: Forge states the valve cannot lift under high or low boost
  • No spring rate change needed when the car is tuned, per Forge
  • Heat-stabilised Viton O-rings and high-temperature Mobil1 grease
  • Internal and external components made in the UK; anodised finish
  • Fully serviceable and rebuildable; Forge advises service every 3 years / 20,000 miles
  • Forge states the valve produces no check engine lights (EML)

Fitment

Hyundai Elantra N-Line 2021 onwards; Hyundai i20 N 2021 onwards (1.6). Replaces OEM part no. 28234-2S300.

Does not fit: This is the N Line valve and does not suit the full-fat Hyundai Elantra N, i30 N, Kona N or Veloster N, which take Forge's separate FMDV20 valve.

Part #: FMDV37

Emissions: Forge states that, unlike other valves on the market, this one produces no check engine lights (EML). Forge publishes no emissions-compliance claim for this part.
