Forge's replacement for the factory Hyundai/Kia diverter valve, OEM part 282343L100. The original unit seals with a rubber diaphragm that degrades with heat and repeated cycling; this one uses an aluminium piston riding on heat-stabilised Viton O-rings, packed with high-temperature Mobil1 grease. Forge designs and machines the internal and external components in the UK, and the whole valve strips down and rebuilds in minutes, with spring changes available to suit a car running more boost than standard.
The same body can be plumbed two ways. Run it open and it vents to atmosphere for the audible release between shifts; plumb the outlet back into the intake and it works as a conventional recirculating valve. Forge carries the design over from its Hyundai i30 N valve and states the part does not trigger a check engine light. Forge recommends a service every 3 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. Supplied as one valve.
