Forge Motorsport worked up the FMINT28 for the i20 N from its larger i30 N cooler, scaling the same bar-and-plate approach down to the smaller car. Against the OEM unit it replaces, Hyundai part 282702L000, Forge lists a 113% gain in core volume and over 57% more frontal surface area, with the Forge item weighing 9.65kg next to the original's 3.7kg.
Flow was opened up at both ends, the hot side going from 50mm to 60mm and the cold side from 50mm to 63mm, feeding high-flow cast end tanks shaped through CAD and CFD work with a divider on the turbo side so the whole stepped core is used. Fitting calls for the front bumper to come off but no cutting of the car, and the kit arrives with the hardware and instructions needed to do the job.

Fitment
Hyundai i20 N, 2021 onward, 1.6. That is the single application Forge lists for FMINT28, and Forge states no gearbox restriction for it. Replaces OEM intercooler 282702L000. Note for North American buyers: the i20 N is not sold in Canada or the United States at all - there is no North American equivalent of this car, and this part suits nothing in the Hyundai range offered here.
Does not fit: This cooler is built around the i20 N's smaller front end and does not fit the i30 N in either pre-facelift or Mk3.5 facelift form, nor the Veloster N or Elantra N.

First let's preface I have tried three other tuners. Not bad mounting or name dropping as they all were solid tunes. But Daniel just has that magic touch when tuning the 1.6 platform.
The car has a buttery smooth power band making the car feel like a larger displacement six cylinder over a turbo charged car. Plenty of fun to be had at any speed or RPM range.
He will take the time to get you dialed in perfectly for your car. No canned tunes here folks. And if you are a EK1 user three tunes for the price of one simply can't be neat.
I received the Stage 2 tune. Here are my thoughts:
- The shifts are buttery smooth
- I love the auto shift @2000rpm when cruising around town; saves me an extra 2-3mpg overall
- Driving in traffic is a dream now, much better than stock. I don't even hear that annoying shifting fork anymore, lol
- Any and all DCT slips are gone
- The increase in torque limit! This opened up my N75 Stage 3 ECU tune; I can feel the difference. The last time I dynoed, I got 289 lb-ft of torque. But it feels much more substantial than that!
- The clamping force is unreal. I did a run from a dig, and it hooked and slammed through the gears all the way to 7k rpm in each gear. Amazing.
Conclusion: This TCU tune is a must-have. If you have an N75 ECU tune, it is an absolute game-changer! Especially with the Redline MT-LV fluid that I'm running. I can't wait to get my retune with water meth injection. Daniel and the rest of the N75 team are the best!

After using the N75 tune for a couple of months, I can confidently say that it offers the best value for your money on the market. I've tried SXTH and LAP3 tunes before, but since switching to N75, I won't look back. With top-notch customer support, it ensures your car performs better, turning heads at every car meet.
Been running stage 2 off that bat and had some problems here and their regarding fueling. Daniel has been with me the whole way, answering questions and adjusting tunes while adding revisions whenever asked. He answers every question I ask even when they don’t relate to tuning.
