Fits: Hyundai and Kia 2.5T turbo cars on the SIM3K-540 or SIM3K-543 ECU. Email us your VIN if you are not sure which ECU your car has.
Current status
This calibration is sold as a pre-order while it is in development; tuning starts at the end of October / beginning of November. We publish the full calibration details once dyno tuning is complete, and features we add after testing are made available to everyone who has already bought the tune.
What this is
An ECU calibration for the 2.5T turbo on the SIM3K-540 / SIM3K-543 ECU, developed in-house in Canada by N75 Motorsports with WinOLS. Stage 1 is 350 whp; suggested mods are spark plugs one step colder and a high-flow intake. E50 is supported and nets close to 400 whp; with full bolt-ons (FBO) and E50 fuel we push ignition timing with boost.
Three delivery options: send us your ECU, buy a BitBox slave flash tool from us, or have us send you a spare ECU with the calibration loaded.
Tune options
| Option | Target and output | Required mods and fuel |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 350 whp. | Suggested: spark plugs one step colder and a high-flow intake, because adding boost through the OEM intake puts more stress on the turbo and a high-flow intake removes that. Fuel: email us to confirm fuel for your car. |
| E50 (by email) | Close to 400 whp. With full bolt-ons (FBO) and E50 fuel we push ignition timing with boost. | E50 fuel and its own E50 calibration, not the Stage 1 file run on E50. Because the 2.5T has MPI (port injection), fuelling is not the limiting factor on E50. |
Stage 1 suits a car on the suggested mods. E50 is its own calibration for cars on E50 fuel; there is no E50 option on this page, so email us before ordering.
Options explained
- Send in ECU: you send us your ECU, we write the calibration and ship it back; shipping instructions follow your order.
- Buy Bitbox Slave from N75: remote flashing hardware bought with the order, so you flash at home through the ECU connector pinout with the included tools; the tool is not VIN-locked and supports all Hyundai and Kia models. Remote tuning is currently only available through our own remote flash tools; if you already own a flash tool, email us before ordering to ask whether we can supply the file for it.
- Spare ECU: a new ECU from Korea with the calibration loaded, about 4 weeks after ordering; your original ECU is not sent to us. Spare ECUs cannot be reset.
- E50 calibration: email us before ordering.
How it works after you order
- Email info@n75motorsports.ca before buying with your car, year, transmission, ECU (SIM3K-540 or SIM3K-543, or your VIN), mods and fuel.
- Order with the delivery option you want.
- Send in ECU: we send shipping instructions, flash your ECU and ship it back. BitBox slave: we ship the tool and the calibration so you flash at home. Spare ECU: we order a new ECU from Korea, load the calibration and ship it to you; allow about 4 weeks after ordering.
- Full calibration details follow dyno tuning; features we add after testing are made available to you as well.
Calibration features
Developed in Canada with WinOLS; click the badge to verify our licence with EVC.
- SIM3K-540 and SIM3K-543 supported.
- Stage 1: 350 whp; suggested mods are spark plugs one step colder and a high-flow intake.
- E50: supported, close to 400 whp; with full bolt-ons (FBO) and E50 fuel we push ignition timing with boost.
- Because the 2.5T has MPI (port injection), fuelling is not the limiting factor on E50; E50 still needs its own calibration.
- With the newer tools now available to us we are finding more maps and add features after testing; full details after dyno tuning.
Before you order
- Your ECU must be a SIM3K-540 or SIM3K-543; email us your VIN if unsure.
- Stage 1 suggested mods: spark plugs one step colder and a high-flow intake, because adding boost through the OEM intake puts more stress on the turbo and a high-flow intake removes that.
- E50 needs its own E50 calibration, so email us before ordering. E50 tuning nets close to 400 whp, and with full bolt-ons (FBO) and E50 fuel we push ignition timing with boost.
- Remote tuning is currently only available through our own remote flash tools; if you already own a flash tool, email us before ordering to ask whether we can supply the file for it.
- The Spare ECU option takes about 4 weeks, and a spare ECU cannot be reset.
- The BitBox option is flashed through the ECU connector pinout with the included tools.
FAQ
Which ECU does my car have?
SIM3K-540 and SIM3K-543 are supported; email us your VIN and we confirm.
Can you send me the file for my own flash tool?
Remote tuning is currently only available through our own remote flash tools, the BitBox slave option on this listing. Email us before ordering with the tool you own and we will tell you whether we can supply the file for it.
Do you support E50?
Yes. E50 tuning nets close to 400 whp, and with full bolt-ons (FBO) and E50 fuel we push ignition timing with boost. It needs its own calibration; because the 2.5T has MPI (port injection), fuelling is not the limiting factor on E50. Email us before ordering.
What does the Spare ECU option involve?
A new ECU from Korea with the calibration loaded; allow about 4 weeks after ordering. Spare ECUs cannot be reset.
Use and liability notice
High-boost maps need the listed supporting mods, fuel and plugs. N75 Motorsports takes no responsibility for damage where they are missing, fuel or plugs are wrong, or a pre-existing fault worsens on a tune.
