What this is

A custom ECU calibration for the MK8 Golf, GTI, Golf R, Jetta and GLI, written by N75 Motorsports for your car and its mods; this listing is the calibration file only. On DSG cars we also calibrate the TCU; tell us your transmission when you email and we confirm what your order covers.

On the low-boost Stage 2 calibration: about 50 whp gain on the 2.0T, about 70 whp on the Golf R.

Tune options

Option Target and output Required mods and fuel
Stage 1 Confirmed for your build by email before you order. Confirmed from your mod list and fuel by email.
Stage 2 Low-boost calibration. About 50 whp gain on the 2.0T; about 70 whp gain on the 2.0T (R) Golf R. Confirmed from your mod list and fuel by email.
Stage 3 Confirmed for your build by email before you order. Confirmed from your mod list and fuel by email.

The Engine option selects the calibration base: 2.0T, or 2.0T (R) for the Golf R. Which stage fits depends on your hardware and fuel; we confirm it from your mod list (see step 1).

Options explained

  • Engine: 2.0T for a Golf, GTI, Jetta or GLI with the 2.0T engine; 2.0T (R) for the Golf R; any other MK8 engine, email us first.
  • DSG (TCU) calibration: on DSG cars; tell us your transmission when you email and we confirm what your order covers.
  • Pops and flames in Sport mode: on request; tell us your exhaust setup when you email.
  • Other calibration requests: by email; the file is written for your car.

How it works after you order

  1. Before you order, email info@n75motorsports.ca with your model, engine, transmission (manual or DSG), mods, fuel and the features you want. We confirm the stage, whether the TCU is calibrated, and how the file gets into your car.
  2. Order your Engine and Stage.
  3. We write the custom calibration for your car and deliver the file.

Calibration features

Written from the full factory definition for these ECUs; click the badge to verify our WinOLS licence with EVC.

  • ECU calibration written for your mods.
  • TCU (DSG) calibration on DSG cars.
  • Pops and flames in Sport mode on request.

How we tune

We hold the full factory definition file (damos) for these ECUs, so every map in the ECU is defined. Our first pops-in-Sport-mode calibration on a Golf R worked on the first attempt, because of the definition files we hold for these cars.

Before you order

  • The Engine option must match your car: 2.0T, or 2.0T (R) for the Golf R.
  • Other MK8 engines, and anything about your build, email us first.
  • Fuel, spark plug and hardware requirements depend on your stage and setup; we confirm them by email before you order.
  • How the file gets into your car: confirmed by email before you order.
  • This listing is for the MK8; for a MK6, MK7 or MK7.5, see our MK7/MK7.5 Golf/Jetta/GTI/Golf R ECU calibration.

FAQ

How does the file get into my car?

This listing is the calibration file for your car. We confirm with you by email how the file gets into your car before you order. We also sell an OBD cellphone flash tool whose compatibility list includes Volkswagen; email us to confirm it covers your MK8 before you buy it.

Can I get pops or flames?

Yes, both in Sport mode, on request; tell us your exhaust setup when you email. Our first pops calibration on a Golf R worked on the first attempt.

Do you calibrate the DSG?

Yes, on DSG cars; tell us your transmission when you email and we confirm what your order covers.

Which stage should I order?

Stage 2 is the low-boost calibration with the two gains above; Stage 1 and 3 are confirmed for your build by email from your mods and fuel.

Use and liability notice

Higher stages need the supporting mods, fuel and plugs we confirm for your build. N75 Motorsports takes no responsibility for damage where they are missing, fuel or plugs are wrong, or a pre-existing fault worsens on a tune.
