Fits: Hyundai and Kia models. Vehicles from the 2024 model year onward that were sold outside the US and Canada may use a different drain-plug size, which this plug may not fit; on US- and Canada-market cars we have not seen a fitment issue.
What this is
A neodymium magnetic oil drain plug, machined from 7075 aluminum and custom made for N75 Motorsports. It replaces the factory oil drain plug and holds a strong neodymium magnet at its tip. The finish is titanium, burnt-blue anodized across the hex head and threads.
We see this as something that should have come from the factory. Even if you are not planning any mods to your Hyundai or Kia, we suggest this drain plug to help extend the life of your motor.
Why a magnetic drain plug
Fine ferrous (steel and iron) wear particles circulate in the oil. The neodymium magnet catches them and holds them at the drain plug instead of letting them pass back through the engine. At each oil change the oil drains and the captured debris stays on the magnet tip, where you can wipe it off and inspect it.
What owners report
Owners report a good fit and a very strong magnet. They report it captures even the smallest bits of metal and that it is good quality and a worthwhile addition for DIY oil changes.
